Dr. Juan Gonzalez, DMD, OMFS
Ambassador
Dr. Juan Gonzalez is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a co-founder of ArchED, an education program focused on full-arch implant surgery. After dental school he completed a one-year hospital-based general practice residency, followed by a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army before transferring to the Air Force Reserves, retiring with more than 20 years of combined service. In more than two decades of practice he has performed over 14,000 moderate-to-deep sedation cases alongside the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
His recent focus is full-arch surgery, particularly severe bone-loss cases that call for zygomatic and pterygoid implants. Dr. Gonzalez is recognized as a ZYGOPRO specialist, a distinction held by only a small number of surgeons worldwide. He is an editorial member of the Journal of Implants and Advanced Clinical Dentistry and lectures internationally on advanced implant techniques. As an S.I.N. 360 ambassador, he shares this experience with clinicians who want to grow their full-arch skills through ArchED.
